Vol I Part I, xxvii, pp 1-498. Vol I Part II, pp 499-1025. Vol II, xl, pp 1-554.
All three volumes rebound in matching red cloth with gilt titles. Volume I (both parts) published in 1924. Volume II published in 1936. Spines lightly sunned, top of blocks dust stained and some general light shelf wear. Otherwise, they're clean, crisp volumes with tightly bound pages throughout. Matching owner's book plate to each paste down.
Volume I (parts I and II) contain "Papers of Sir William Trumbull", this being William Trunbull born in 1639, who was at school in Wokingham, 3 miles from Easthampstead, Fellow of All Souls' in 1957 entering Middle temple in the same year, later rising to become Secretary of State.
Prepared and edited for the Historical Manuscripts Comissioners by Mr. EK Purnell.
Volume II contains "Papers of William Trunbull the Elder: 1605-10". Edited for the Historical Manuscripts Comissioners by the late EK Purnell and AB Hinds.
